Qualifications:

College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or equivalent. College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) full licence, plus ACLS. ATLS, PALS, ALARM, NRP, etc. highly recommended.Must love the rural and remote north.

Call for Salaried model is usually weekdays with occasional weekends. Call for itinerant/locum is usually one weekend day first call, one day second call, plus occasionally one weekday per rotation.

NMS is seeking individuals, or groups of physicians excited by the prospect of the north. Delivering relationship-based, patient-centered, full-scope practice, with an awareness around cultural safety combined with a sensitivity toward Indigenous wellness. This is the core of healthcare in the north; you will be providing high level care in rural and remote settings.

NMS sites are well-equipped, staffed with other physicians and support workers, and most utilize remote presence technology. It is also important to note that there are NO OVERHEAD charges in any of our communities.

Independent Itinerant Contracts: Medium to long-term contracts in a single northern location. Plan your life in a steady rotation with a fixed schedule. Usually a 26-week commitment (two-week-in/two-week-out rotation/yr. Half-time: two-week-in/six-week-out rotations.
