Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team. The ideal candidate will provide expert cardiovascular care, conduct thorough assessments, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans aimed at improving patient health outcomes. This role requires exceptional clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations, including history, physical examinations, and risk assessments.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiac conditions such as hypertension, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and valvular disorders.
- Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic tests including ECG, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and advanced cardiac imaging.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including lifestyle counseling, medication management, and referral for interventional or surgical procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, internal specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide follow-up care, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate, thorough medical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case discussions, and continuing education activities.
- Stay current on advancements in cardiovascular medicine, guidelines, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Member with good standing in CPSO
- Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology.
- Valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the province/state of practice.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and strong diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative care.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience in preventive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, or specialized cardiac imaging.
- Interest in community health initiatives or patient education.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse patient caseload.
- Compassionate and approachable demeanor with a focus on patient experience.
