Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Family Physician to join our growing team and provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions; conduct routine examinations; prescribe medications; order and interpret diagnostic tests; and deliver preventive care and health education. The role includes providing care for both scheduled appointments and walk-in patients, coordinating ongoing patient care, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with established clinical and regulatory standards, and referring patients to specialists when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide primary care consultations, examinations, and medical assessments
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
Develop and manage patient treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging, etc.)
Promote preventive healthcare and wellness education
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications:
- Current eligibility letter from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
- MD, Certified LMCC
- Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) - preferred but not required
