Job Description
Alberta Health Services (AHS), Southeast Corridor invites applications for the role of Corridor Clinical Section Lead (CCSL), Family Medicine, Low Risk Obstetrics and Newborn Care. This position is a Medical Leadership role governed by the Medical Staff Rules and is responsible for overseeing clinical operations involving members of their Corridor Clinical Department Section and reports to the Corridor Clinical Department Lead, Family Medicine. |
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Meet with your Corridor Clinical Department Lead (CCDL) regularly; • Periodic reviews for Corridor Clinical Department Section members (every 3 years, or annual for staff > 65-years-old) at request of CCDL; • Probationary Assessments for all new active members of the medical staff within clinical department of responsibility at request of CCDL; • Ensuring on call coverage and managing issues that arise; • Participate in Corridor and Provincial work as designated by the CCDL, Associate Corridor Medical Lead, or Zone Medical Director; • Identify need for and manage recruitment together with your CCDL and Zone Medical Affairs; • Practitioner workforce planning in collaboration with Zone Medical Affairs; • Represent the facility positively to external stakeholders; • Promoting and representing the activities of the Corridor Clinical Department. |
