Job Description

A physician-led telehealth clinic is seeking a General Internist to provide virtual internal medicine consultations on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an internist seeking flexible, remote clinical work within a well-supported and established virtual care model.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centred internal medicine care through secure telehealth platforms, working with an established referral base. This position does not include lipid assessments or lipid disorder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual General Internal Medicine consultations for adult patients referred by primary care providers and other specialists
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of non-lipid internal medicine conditions within the internist’s scope of practice
• Review referral information, relevant investigations, and clinical history prior to consultations
• Develop and communicate evidence-based assessment and management plans
• Provide clear consultation notes and recommendations to referring providers in a timely manner
• Order and interpret appropriate investigations as clinically indicated
• Ensure safe follow-up planning
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation using the Accuro EMR
• Practice in accordance with CPSO standards, provincial telemedicine regulations, and CMPA guidelines
• Collaborate professionally with clinic administration and support staff to ensure smooth virtual workflows
