INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST
Cardiac Catheterization & Intervention
Sault Area Hospital (SAH) is searching for an Interventional Cardiologist - Cardiac Catheterization & Intervention specialist to become part of our well-established cohesive cardiology team including an interventional cardiologist, level 3 echocardiographer, level 3 cardiovascular CT speciatlist and certified nuclear cardiologist.
Join a highly successful program with two state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization labs. The Sault Area Hospital Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) program commenced in 2018, offering 24-7 primary PCI services with 400 PCIs and 1000 diagnostic catheterizations performed per year.
You will have the opportunity for privileges at St. Michael's Hospital to facilitate access to complex and high-risk PCI. You will be fully suppoorted by the St. Michael's interventional cardiology group.

Sault Area Hospital (SAH), a state-of-the-art, up-to-300-bed facility that opened in 2011, serves the city and the District of Algoma, supporting a catchment population of approximately 115,000. SAH offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including the Algoma District Cancer Program and a Regional Renal Program, along with full diagnostic support featuring a 1.5 Tesla MRI and two CT Scanners.
The internal medicine program is represented by specialists in cardiology, critical care, dermatology, gastroenterology, general internal medicine, geriatrics, hematology, infectious diseases, medical oncology, nephrology, respirology and rheumatology. Additionally, there is diagnostic imaging support which includes state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla MRI and two CT Scanners with access to interventional DI. The hospital supports a full-time pulmonary function lab, endoscopy unit, nuclear medicine and ultrasonography. Sault Area Hospital has a medicine program comprised of a hospitalist program, general internal medicine unit, ED medical consults and a follow-up clinic.
Candidates should have fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or be exam-eligible. Eligibility for an independent practice license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is a requisite.
