The Opportunity
Our team of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgeons, is looking for a new member to join our team. The successful candidate will have three (3) to four (4) days of OR time per month, and will take one (1) in four (4) or six (6) call covering Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) and smaller surrounding hospitals. The on-call surgeon is not required to travel to surrounding hospitals. Patients are transferred to PRHC when assessment by Otolaryngology – Head and Neck surgery is necessary. The following surgical specialties are represented in Peterborough: General Surgery, Gynecology, Otolaryngology – Head and Neck, Vascular, Orthopedics, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Urology. Remuneration is via fee-for-service billing to the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). The minimum expected annual earnings for a full-time practicing ENT surgeon working at our hospital and in our region is more than $450,000. Benefits are not applicable for this position. The language of work is English.

Position Qualifications:
• Registered (or eligible for registration) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Fellow Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, nursing, staff, patients, directors, managers, and the community
• Evidence of ongoing continued medical education.
