Job Description

Welcome to the 'Burg!


I'm looking for a family physician to cover my well-managed and highly supported family practice in New Hamburg, an easy 15-20 minute drive down Highway 7, between Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford. I'm hoping for about 6 months of leave for a sabbatical, preferably starting in January 2027, somewhat flexible.


Clinic: Nith Valley Family Practice

  • 4 physicians
  • 4 exceptional reception staff
  • 4 highly competent expanded role nurses
  • 1 outstanding office manager
  • recently renovated space with lovely office, generously sized exam rooms, and well-provisioned for minor procedures

EMR: Telus PSS

Practice details:

  • approximately 1500 rostered patients, well-managed
  • clinic hours 7-8 half-days per week; 4 patients/hour for standard appointments
  • no weekend clinic
  • admin assistant to handle referrals, forms, letters, and arranging investigations
  • excellent work-life balance with regular vacation time if desired

Compensation: Due to recent change to FHO+, to be negotiated, but certainly competitive. Also, I can provide references from past locum physicians.
