Method of Payment Description:Remuneration is provided through a contractual arrangement aligned with the Provincial Academic Clinical Funding Plan (ACFP), inclusive of clinical service, academic responsibilities, and on-call coverage.Job DescriptionThe Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, is seeking a Pediatric Spine Surgeon to join a collaborative and highly specialized surgical team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.This is a unique opportunity to provide tertiary and quaternary pediatric spine care for children and adolescents across Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces.Clinical services are primarily based at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH), Saskatchewan’s only tertiary pediatric facility, with additional responsibilities at Royal University Hospital (RUH), the province’s Level 1 trauma centre.Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive assessment and surgical management of pediatric spinal conditionsParticipate in inpatient and outpatient care including consultation and follow-upCollaborate with multidisciplinary teamsParticipate in shared pediatric on-call coverageContribute to provincial outreach as requiredAcademic Responsibilities
Appointment with the University of Saskatchewan, College of MedicineParticipation in undergraduate and postgraduate medical educationEngagement in research and quality improvement initiativesAdditional incentives through the Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA)
