Job Description
Position Description:
Horizon Health Network is seeking a General Surgeon to join our collegial and collaborative team in beautiful Saint John, New Brunswick.
Our division includes seven general surgeons with expertise in a range of subspecialties, including colorectal surgery, minimally invasive and bariatric surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, critical care, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, and breast surgery. We are primarily based at the Saint John Regional Hospital—the largest tertiary care center in New Brunswick.
We are currently seeking a general surgeon to further strengthen our team’s capacity in two key areas: breast surgery and acute care surgery. The successful candidate will maintain a broad elective general surgical practice with a primary focus on breast surgery and will be an equal participant in our general surgery call rota. Additionally, the acute care aspect of the role includes performing weekday daytime emergency surgery in a dedicated operating room scheduled for urgent procedures.
The successful candidate will begin in summer 2026 or later, with flexibility to accommodate the completion date of their training or existing professional commitments.
