Position Overview
The Division of Cardiology at the C.K. Hui Heart Centre, Royal Alexandra Hospital, is seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist to join our program beginning July 1, 2026. The successful candidate will join a high-volume interventional cardiology program consisting of six interventional cardiologists and will participate in a comprehensive clinical cardiology practice alongside a group of 15 cardiologists providing inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care.
The C.K. Hui Heart Centre is one of Canada’s busiest freestanding interventional cardiology programs, performing over 2,500 percutaneous coronary interventions annually. The successful candidate will participate in coronary angiography, PCI, STEMI call coverage, and inpatient cardiology services, with opportunities to contribute to complex coronary intervention, mechanical circulatory support, and structural heart initiatives.
Position Responsibilities
· Participation in coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
· Participation in STEMI call and acute cardiac care coverage
· Contribution to a full clinical cardiology practice including inpatient and outpatient care
· Teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students
· Participation in quality improvement, innovation, and clinical research initiatives
· Collaboration within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team

Qualifications
· Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)
· Completion of accredited training in Interventional Cardiology
· Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
· Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Experience or interest in complex coronary intervention (CHIP/CTO), mechanical circulatory support, or structural heart interventions would be considered an asset.
