Position Description:
The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is recruiting an obstetrics and gynecology physician. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at present consists of six obstetricians/gynecologists and one maternal fetal medicine specialist. On-call coverage is done in coordination with other members of the division.

Job Duties:
● Clinical practice in both obstetrics and gynecology.
● Participation in teaching, medical education, and research as required by the department.
● Commitment to on-call as required by the department.
● Opportunity to work in the Family Planning Clinic.

Remuneration:
Fee for Service
Standard remuneration is Fee-for-Service which is a direct compensation between the physician and Medicare of New Brunswick. On call remuneration is provided. No source deductions can be provided.
Qualifications:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology requires that their members have passed the examination of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in their specialty in order to be eligible for active membership. Candidates with Royal College eligibility may be considered. Applicants must also qualify for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick.
Incentives:
$50,000.00 accompanied by a 2 year return of service.
Relocation reimbursement of up to $8,000.

Horizon’s The Moncton Hospital is located in the city of Moncton. Situated in the centre of this vibrant and friendly city, The Moncton Hospital is a leader in health care delivery and health promotion.
The hospital is a level 2 trauma centre that includes tertiary care for neurosurgery, neonatal intensive care and maternal fetal medicine services. It serves as a referral centre for these tertiary services and other specialty services across New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and northern Nova Scotia.
The Moncton Hospital is among Canada’s leading centres for neurosurgery, neurology and active advanced-stage oncology (cancer) services and is home to the NB Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit, the NB Organ and Tissue Program and the Perinatal NB Program.
The Moncton Medical Education Program, affiliated with Dalhousie University and Memorial University of Newfoundland, and the following fully accredited teaching programs are administered through The Moncton Hospital: Dietetic Internship Program, the School of Radiologic Technology and Research, and the Pharmacy Residency Program.
